Olympia Zen Center is a lay practice community in the Soto Zen Buddhist Tradition
We are a member of the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and the American Zen Teachers Association
"...all the Buddhas, as well as all the Ancestors, have kept to the Buddha Dharma as Their dwelling place. One and all have not only sat upright in Their meditative state of delight in the Truth, but They have also put the Precepts into practice, and thus They have taken this combination as the precise and certain way for awakening to the Truth." Dogen Zenji, "Bendowa"

Olympia Zen Center is a Soto Zen Buddhist temple and lay community founded in 1995. Our resident priest is Eido Frances Carney Roshi. We offer daily meditation and services, open to everyone. We are just 5 miles from the center of downtown Olympia on a beautiful site along the Chehalis Western Trail.
We offer monthly one-day retreats, weekly retreats, guest facilities for personal retreats, public events with visiting teachers, Dharma teachings, community study of texts, individual meetings with the teacher, and training and experience in all forms of Soto Zen practice.
We are completely supported by Donations which come from the heart of Generosity of our many benefactors.
